This page showcases the layouts I made about all of my adventures in 2019 except for my two big trips: Poland/Czech Republic and Japan . Those will be separate.
First page of the book and it’s one I did in Vicki Boutin’s mixed media class at my first Crop and Create event in Saskatoon in 2018.
The rest of the story about my trip to visit family in January. Same Vicki Boutin class’s layouts.
More pics of my nephews and family from January. This was a layout kit I bought years ago that I finally got to use before the boys are in high school!
A valentines layout about my adorable nephews and their February and March antics.
Our next adventure was our annual Vegas trip, and this time we met up with some friends there to celebrate one of their birthdays. We went during Chinese New Year so there were tons of gorgeous decorations to take photos of!
Another layout kit I’ve had for several years finally got used to document a variety of local events in February and March.
A scrapbook retreat my friend Cathy and I went to in the mountains. I had only one piece of this mountain paper so it worked out quite well.
The second half of the 2018-2019 hockey season.
A random weekend getaway for JC and I to Estes Park. We stayed in the Stanley Hotel but did not experience a ghost. Oh well, one of two Goals List items checked off! Still a fun, relaxing weekend together.
Our nephew Leonardo’s 7th birthday. We weren’t there, but I still like documenting their birthdays.
The family on Easter!
A one-pager about my parents visiting in April and mom and I going to a local scrapbook retreat. She did an entire 12×12 travel album that weekend!
A one-pager of May events: my mom’s 70th surprise birthday party and Mothers’ Day.
A mish-mash of local summertime events.
A combo layout of two different events at the Wild Animal Sanctuary: the Circle of Life luncheon for people who have the Sanctuary in their will, and their annual 5k walk. The events were in May and June so I figured it made sense to make one layout about both.
The fam having some summer fun.
The boys being adorable!
My first and hopefully only dinner at the Buckhorn Exchange with family who came to visit.
Part 1 of 2 about my girls weekend trip to Glenwood Springs.
Part 2 of the trip. These were layouts I did at last year’s CK Convention.
July events
More cute photos of the nephews, my sister and brother-in-law. Yes I own a shark stamp set.
They went on a huge European vacation in July and August to England, France, Switzerland and Italy, so I did one layout about their antics for myself.
While they were roaming Europe, I went to Rochester to hang out with the parents. One Sunday, we went to Seneca Lake, one of the Finger Lakes, and did a portion of the wine trail. We went to like 7 places and were drunk AF.
Later in that trip, mom and I made our annual pilgrimage to the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
I tried to make more photos this year, so they span some of the adorable little shops we stopped at (lots of Amish ones in gorgeous countryside), fun in our classes and our hauls.
Two weeks after the July trip, I flew to DC to hang out with the Beaver Sistahs! We all flew into DC or Baltimore and drove up to Penn State where we bought new swag, walked around campus a little and got drunk at Happy Valley Winery.
The main purpose of our rendez-vous was our sistah Angelina’s wedding! It was a few hours away in Pennsylvania and it was just perfect. They both looked amazing, as did their little girl Aquila, and we had a great day celebrating.
A second layout with more awesome pics from the day. These two were part of a layout kit I got at a Crop and Create event, so I was excited to use them!
One closing layout about that DC/PA trip with Steph, Juan and I attending a Washington Nationals baseball game and Steph and I doing something I always wanted to do: watch the airplanes land at Reagan National Airport from the nearby park!
A fun miscellaneous layout about various concerts I went to in August.
Another layout showcasing all the local events I went to in late August and then in September after the Japan trip.
Leo starting second grade and Domenico starting preschool!
A one-pager with barely any photos (because I never got them from my friend) about my Scrapbook Expo fun in late September scrapping, buying too much stuff and hanging out with friends.
The first of two layouts about my trip to San Diego, CA, in early October for another Beaver Sistah’s wedding!
More delightful photos of hanging out with friends and the wedding on the beach!
A page paying tribute to Carrie, my sister’s sister-in-law, who tragically died in early October.
October concert, concert, concert, scrap retreat!
Layout 1 of 2 about my long weekend in Michigan.
Second layout about the trip to Michigan and the hockey game we attended.
A super quick and simple layout about the nephews and their fall antics.
Halloween! I’ve had that Boo Crew diecut for years and am glad I finally had photos that would work in it!
Our Hallowversary celebration at Pumpkin Nights.
Various events in November and December.
A quick layout about the Crop and Create event in Saskatoon. I never got the photos from my friend so this is the best I could do.
My first layout about my visit to the family in December. Hanging out and watching Leonardo at karate class.
The second layout about my family visit that focused on us making cookies and gingerbread houses.
A fun and funky layout about the wacky Camp Christmas display a friend and I went to right before Christmas.
Christmas Eve with the family.
A second layout about Christmas Eve and some of the gifts everyone got.
One layout about spending Christmas Day with the in-laws and nephews on the Polanycia side.
Last but not least, a few photos from the start of the 2019-2020 hockey season.
